only 200 tickets will be printed.  Each ticket is $100.  One winner will be drawn to win $10,000 cash.  As tickets are sold, they will be listed below with the first name of the buyer.  All rules, regulations, and legalese is also listed below.

  • Winning prize is a cash prize of $10,000 before taxes.
  • Proof of prize money and tickets sold can be verified at any monthly Band Parents Association meeting on the second Tuesday of every month at the DYRHS.
  • 200 tickets will be printed. A minimum of 200 tickets must be sold before the drawing will take place. The scheduled drawing date is December 3, 2012.  In the event the 200 tickets are sold before the scheduled drawing date, the drawing date will be moved up and held within one week of the last ticket sold.  In the event the 200 tickets are not sold before the scheduled drawing date, ticket purchasers will be contacted.  The drawings will be held in the main office at the DYRHS.
  • Prize money will be treated as ordinary income to the winner for federal and state income tax purposes.  By Federal law the D-Y Band Parents Association is required to withhold Federal Income Tax at the rate of 28% of the net winnings.
  • The Internal Revenue Service takes the position that no portion of the ticket price will qualify as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.

  • 50% of the purchase price of the cash raffle ticket will benefit the band and color guard programs at the Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School.
